The National Coalition of Pro-Democracy Advocates (NCPDA) aims to focus the efforts of distinguished scholars, intellectuals, democracy and human rights activists, as well as concerned students and individuals to promote democracy, human rights, and socioeconomic justice in Iran.
NCPDA is instituted in line with the guidelines of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the universal principles of democracy. We believe that the aspiration for freedom, democracy, and human rights can significantly be aided by fostering democratic beliefs and values as well as the institutions they inherently demand.
NCPDA is works to facilitate dialogue among Iranian Americans, governmental stake holders, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). The coalition also aims to monitor the impact of foreign policy debates on Iran and play a leading role in them to foster mutual and long-term benefit through transparent reporting and education.
NCPDA functions as a bridge between Iranians, Americans, and other peace seekers who share the goal of ending Islamic fundamentalism and forming a democratic government in Iran. We encourage devoted individuals to use their resources and aid the Iranian people in their struggle to establish a democratic, secular, and free Iran. Principally thus, we work to end Iran’s theocratic dictatorship, its expansionist aspirations and the terrorism it support.
NCPDA aims to:
• Play a leadership role in several advocacy coalitions and regularly organize workshops, conferences, briefings, and policy debates designed to stimulate support for democracy in Iran.
• Call for referendum for the change of the theocratic regime in Iran under the supervision of the United Nations
• Promote a secular government in Iran.
• Work with the representatives in the Senate and the Congress, as well as other US policy makers and community leaders, to promote establishment of a democratic government in Iran under the supervision of United Nations
(UN).
• Work with other national and international human rights organizations to pioneer human rights in Iran.
• Work with the media to accurately depict the current situation in Iran where the voices calling for democracy and freedom are being violently silenced.
• Promote increased public support and involvement through education and training in hopes of fostering peace in the Middle-East.
• Expose the atrocities of Iranian clerical regime and their discrimination against women and religious and ethnic minorities.
• Expose the terrorist activities of the Iranian regime, their will to acquire Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), and their potential threat to regional and international peace and stability.
• Promote and support human rights activists, reporters, and researchers from media and policy institutions who are involved with issues in Iran through financial grants.
